Speaker Bio
Richard Limpkin currently serves as the Vice President and General Manager of One View within UKG, one of the largest private software companies in the world. His career is marked by a blend of scientific acumen, technological innovation, and a commitment to enhancing the human element of business in the world of HR Technology.
Richard spent his early career with the British Armed Forces and Deloitte Consulting, after completing a Masters in Quantum Mechanics at the University of Durham. After six years with Deloitte, he moved to Kilkenny Ireland, to join CoreHR, where he transformed HR and payroll technology in the UK and Irish Market with flagship customers like the University of Oxford, Primark retail and National Australia Group banking, becoming a partner in 2015.
He lives in Kilkenny now with his wife Aoife and their three small people: Ailbhe, Rían and Caoimhe in a haze of swimming, tennis, rugby, soccer (football!), field hockey and horses.
After the successful exit of CoreHR to JMI and JMI Equity, a key "aha" moment along this journey led Richard to create the Immedis Platform, a revolutionary solution ensuring "data is the payroll, not the by-product." This approach provided customers with a unified view of people across the world, offering flexibility and interoperability at a global scale.
In 2023, UKG acquired Immedis, unifying it into the wider UKG product suite and further solidifying Richard's role in leading One View’s strategic direction. Doing all of this with the core business focus being embedded within Kilkenny has been a privilege along the way.
In his “spare time” he coaches field hockey and rugby, with recent wins for the Kilkenny U14 girls in the Leinster Hockey finals… two years in a row. Then his “spare spare time” Richard competes in CrossFit events.
